Cancellation + Reschedule

24-hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations are accepted by texting and/or calling 773-320-0234. If no one is available to answer a call, please leave a voicemail and/or follow up via text/email. Cancellation with less than 24-hours notice will result in a charge for the full service booked, less travel fee. To avoid a cancellation fee, please reschedule or cancel at least 1 day before the beginning of your appointment.

Set Up + Late Start

A minimum space of 8’ x 10’ for a massage table, Thai mat or yoga mat is required for the session—this space must be available upon arrival for set-up and on-time start. For a client-provided on-site massage table, a professional massage table with face cradle and linens must be set-up upon arrival for on-time start. Should there be a late start for the time booked, extending a session beyond the original appointment time will not be accommodated, and clients will receive the remaining time of the appointment. For any length of service provided, full payment for the service scheduled is required.

Scope of Practice

Bodywork (Massage Therapy) is a profession in which the practitioner applies manual techniques. It may apply adjunctive therapies with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client. Massage Therapists do not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions nor are they allowed to provide treatment for a specific condition without supervision of a doctor. A licensed massage therapist is required to refer for diagnosis and to follow recommendations of a physician.

Medical Conditions

It is the responsibility of the client to inform of any current medical treatment and to provide written permission from the physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc. that the massage may be continued. The client must also keep the yoga instructor/bodyworker informed of any changes in health conditions.

Yoga/Bodywork Needs + Boundaries

Yoga:

  • Client needs/decisions are validated and respected

  • Modifications for postures may be provided upon request

  • Hands-on assistance is available and may be provided with verbal consent

Bodywork:

  • Pressure, temperature, music, time spent on an area of the body may all be adjusted upon request

  • It is the choice of the client to undress to their own level of comfort, refuse any massage modalities and end the massage at any time

  • The client will always be draped and only the area being treated will be uncovered

  • The client will be kept informed of the area to be massaged

  • Emotional response to massage may occur. Should this take place, it is okay to express feelings – a safe and nonjudgmental environment is provided – or you may request privacy and end the session

  • A massage therapist may end the massage at any time

Confidentiality + Conversation

Discussion between a yoga instructor/bodyworker and client is confidential. The client may or may not choose to talk during the session. It is recommended that topics of discussion are not of religious, political and private topics or sexual in nature.

Yoga and Bodywork as a Profession

Under no circumstances, is a therapeutic yoga or bodywork session associated with sexual touch/massage, ever.

Any comments, suggestions and/or behaviors that are deemed inappropriate by the therapist will be met with an immediate termination of the session and a charge for the full appointment.

As a Yoga Instructor and Bodyworker, licensed by the State of Illinois, the services provided are upheld with integrity, professionalism and respect for clients and the practitioner.
